I would be hesitant to use a friend's working SSD because the macOS installer may install the firmware updater on it even if you install macOS to an external USB drive. Then you should be able to install your new OWC SSD and install macOS. The only way to get the new OWC SSD to work in this laptop is to install HS or Mojave to an internal drive so the system firmware is updated.

The problem you have is the laptop has never been updated to High Sierra before so it does not have the necessary system firmware update to support an NVMe SSD. I don’t want to do this bc the baterry is already glued :( Return my laptop and find a new machine.find a way to update the firmware form a USB flashdrive.The read a little bit that there are some methods to connect 2 laptops with fire-wire and then magically clone the drive or do something.find a friend that have the same model or late 2013 or mid 2015, borrow the SSD from the other laptop, put it in mine and there from the OS install the firmware and then put back my SSD and should work just perfect.
